Stock Up on Emergency Roadside Essentials

Close your eyes and picture this scenario: You are driving late at night on a country road and your vehicle becomes hard to control. You pull off to the side and notice that you have a flat tire. What should you do now? Well,if your vehicle is equipped with a roadside emergency supply kit, you will have all that you need at your fingertips to get back on your journey in no time!
Emergency Supply Kit Necessities
Include the following items in your roadside emergency supply kit:
§ 12-foot jumper cables
§ Four 15-minute road flares
§ Two quarts of motor oil
§ One gallon of antifreeze
§ First-aid kit (equipped with bandages, gauze, gloves, adhesivetape, antiseptic wipes, instant ice and heat packs, scissors and a pain reliever)
§ Blanket
§ Flashlight and extra batteries
§ Extra fuses
§ Flat head screwdriver
§ Philips head screwdriver 
§ Pliers
§ Vice grips 
§ Adjustable wrench
§ Tire inflator
§ Tire pressure gauge
§ Rags/paper towels
§ Duct tape
§ Spray bottle containing washer fluid
§ Pocketknife
§ Ice scraper
§ S.O.S. banner
§ Non-perishable energy bars
§ Bottled water
Though this list may seem excessive and a waste of useable space in your trunk, all of the items will assist you in different types of emergencies. We advise you to use this list as a guide and customize your own kit based on your family’s and car’s needs.
